Ryan A. Perrotte, 36, of Winooski Vermont passed away suddenly on August 18, 2022.
He will always be remembered for his courage and his compassion for others. Even when Ryan was battling for his own life, he wanted to help others and to make a positive difference. Ryan was a bright light even on the darkest of days. He was soft spoken and gentle natured with a big loving heart.
Ryan was born on March 21, 1986 in Burlington, VT to Shelley Chicoine and Peter Perrotte. As a young boy Ryan was very charismatic and a passionate athlete. Ryan grew up in Colchester. He was a Boy Scout and played youth soccer, baseball, football, and basketball. Ryan had a big group of friends growing up the gang that were inseparable, and they never ran out of things to do. Flashlight tag, swimming in the neighborhood pool, riding go carts, snowboarding and fishing were some of his favorites. He was very active and would shoot hoops in the driveway for hours on end as well as ride his skateboard. He played basketball for years and very much wanted to be the next Michael Jordan. Ryan also enjoyed going on vacation with his family and loved the ocean.
Ryan enjoyed spending time with his boys and watching them grow. You could see his gentle nurturing character shine through when parenting them. He always made sure that his loved ones knew that he loved them. Ryan touched so many lives and his memory and spirit will never die.
Besides his parents, Ryan leaves behind his sister Nikki and his three sons Zeth, Holden and Maven, and his fianc Samara Mercy. Ryan had a huge extended family and leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins that were very dear to him. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Sept 7th at the American Legion in Colchester. Please join us in celebrating Ryan s life and sharing memories.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Talent Skatepark, a non-profit which provides a safe outlet and a second home to local youths https://talentskatepark.org/contribute/ or Talent Skatepark, 266 Queen City Park Rd, Burlington, VT 05401.
