Sadie Mae Mitchell, 97, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024.
She was born on January 7, 1927 in Pulaski, Tennessee to Aaron and Mamie (Kerr) Gardner. She is preceded in death by her Father, Aaron Gardner, Mother, Mamie P. Brown, Husband, Samuel Mitchell, Sr., Sons, Samuel (Delores) Mitchell, Jr., John (Patricia) Henry Mitchell, Paul Wayne Mitchell, Siblings, Robert Caldwell, Willie Wheeler, Henry Lee Wheeler, Jerry Wheeler, Robbie Gill, Inez Madry, Mary Ella Benson, and Step-Sister, Patsy Brown.
Sadie is survived by her loving family, Children, Larry Mitchell, Gwendolyn Mitchell, and Terry (Adriane) Mitchell; Step-Son, Michael Varnado; 16 Grandchildren, and a host of Great-Grandchildren & Great-Great-Grandchildren; Step-Sister, Martha Ann Johnson; Step-Brother, William Brown, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her memory forever.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Ralph Avenue AME Church, (2501 Ralph Ave Louisville, KY 40216). Her Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Friday, at Ralph Avenue AME Church with burial to follow at Green Meadows Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
The family requests that contributions in Sadie’s memory be made to Ralph Avenue AME Church.
