ADRIAN – Sally Lynn DeLaCruz, age 85 of Adrian, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility. She was born in Adrian on February 17, 1938, to the late Herschel and Grace Iola (Blohm) Brown. After her father's death when Sally was 2, her mother married Leonard Krueger, and he continued raising Sally. She attended and graduated from Blissfield High School; and furthered her education at Vo Tech, receiving her Nurse's Aide Certification. She worked at American Chain and Cable, where she was union steward; and at Lenawee Medical Care Facility.
Sally was endlessly skilled from cake decorating, jewelry making, painting bird houses, and sewing anything. She loved to have taco dinners and was known for her beautiful smile. She was a dear friend and was loved by everyone.
Surviving are her children, Sharon (Percy) Williamson, Patty (Jeff) Caron, and Tony Zarate; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brothers, Lee (Mary Jo) Brown, Paul (Sandy) Krueger, and Mark (Karen) Krueger; and a sister, Linda Basset. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Leonard.
Memorial visitation for Sally will be held at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 PM.
