Sandra was a graduate of Paris High School Class of 1953 and went on to College at University
of Texas at Austin and then went on to complete her Bachelor of Science Degree from East
Texas State University in Commerce. She later went back to school and received her realtor's
license. She began her career as a Realtor with Newman Town and Country. Sandra married
Hershel Eugene Oyler on July 7th, 1972. They enjoyed 42 years of marriage and memories.
They were members of the Calvary United Methodist Church.
Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Sandra loved fiercely and was the
"Queen" of the family. She was a bright light that was full of laughter and loved to celebrate with
family and friends. Her grandchildren, who called her Mimi, were her pride and joy. She loved
them dearly and enjoyed playing scrabble and other games with them. She was a devoted
follower of Jesus and she passed this on to her family and friends. She will be missed dearly
but we know she is having a great reunion with her husband, Gene, her parents, grandparents,
and other family members.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Colonial Lodge, Pine Tree Ranch and to Platinum Hospice for the love and care that was shown to Sandra. You all have a special place in our hearts.
