Sandra McDade of Cape Coral, FL, age 82, passed away January 26, 2023 after living a loving, long and amazing life. Born June 13, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Henry & Marguerite Grasmeder (nee McCusker) and the cherished wife of her beloved husband John Patrick McDade, Sr.
Sandra is survived by her devoted sons John Patrick Jr. (Amy), Pearse (Allison) and Paul and daughters Alexandria and Deirdre (Paul) Murphy; her beautiful grandchildren Erin Boyer, Donald Boyer, Peter Boyer, Jennifer Boyer, Finn Murphy and Maeve McDade; her sweet great grandchild Gloria Boyer; her wonderful brother Jack Grasmeder, lovely in-laws Kathleen Grasmeder, Eileen McDade, Nancy & Ted Tedrick and her much beloved nephews, nieces and friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Patrick, granddaughter Nancy Ann McDade, sister Mary Victoria Crane (nee Grasmeder), brother Martin Grasmeder, in-laws Joan & Richard Lobron, Julia & Carl Engblom, Francis X. (Eileen) McDade, Kathleen (Jack) Grasmeder, William J. Crane and nephew Carl Engblom.
Everyone who knew Sandra felt her big heart and her strong and quiet nature. She will be greatly missed, especially by her grandchildren, with whom she spent many joyful hours laughing, loving, stock trading, dining out, advising, and enjoying. She appreciated kind people and good deals - especially early bird dinners and "day after'' 90% discounts, but FREE was always especially appreciated. Sandra's strong business savvy and devotion to her husband and family led them on great adventures with a real estate portfolio that stretched from Berlin, NJ, to Gandy's Beach, to the Poconos, and to Cape Coral. Sandra could do and did everything she ever wanted to; from raising and showing champion Irish Setters, to learning to fly planes, to designing and building award winning Mummer's New Year's costumes, to Pat & Sandy's Come All Ye Touring Ireland trips and, most importantly, to making sure her children and grandchildren knew that trying to do the right thing is all that really matters. Sandra loved to laugh and enjoyed her family, her friends and their lives together. Sandra was the best mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, accountant, deal finder, and supporter of fun. You arrived at Pat and Sandy's expecting to receive the best they had to offer (even a formal living room & couch saved only for visitors) and left after many cakes, cups (cups and cups) of coffee and lots of love & laughs. In short, all who knew her were blessed to have done so.
Family and friends are invited to Sandra's visitation this Saturday after 10 A.M. at St. Denis Church, 2401 St. Denis Ln, Havertown, PA 19083. Funeral Mass at 11A.M. Interment services will take place after the mass at St. Denis Cemetery.
Donations in lieu of flowers may also be made to either the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament (www.katharinedrexel.org), or to the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation (http:www.archbishopsheencause.org).

The first time I was up in a plane was with Aunt Sandra. I knew no better, it was a one prop plane, today I would have asked where the parachutes were first. She was the kindest person and loved by all. Boy, did she drink coffee she introduced me to the coffee maker that keeps coffee hot all day!
I know she´s up there looking down on me.
