Sandra L. Pastuszak

Sandra L. (Hadvab) Pastuszak of Harwich, MA (formerly of South Windsor, CT) and wife of Stanley J. Pastuszak, passed away peacefully with her husband at her side on March 13, 2022.
Born September 27, 1950 in New Britain, CT she was the daughter of the late Michael Hadvab and Doris (Eliason) Hadvab. She graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a BA degree in teaching. She loved teaching little children.
After raising her two sons, she started her own preschool for 3 and 4 year olds. After ten years she then went on to work at Barnes and Noble where she worked in the children's book department following her passion of books and teaching young ones. Six years later she had to retire for health reasons. In addition to her love of books and reading, she had many artistic interests. She was an avid quilter and a member of the Bayberry Quilters of Cape Cod along with sewing, making handcrafted greeting cards and documenting the family history through her Creative Memory scrap books. In addition to creating her personal hand stitched quilts for family and friends, she was a member of the Quilt Bank that made quilts for veterans and needy children. She was a also a member of The First Congregational Church of Yarmouth. Her favorite quote was "I wasn't born on the Cape, but I got here as fast as I could."
She leaves her devoted husband of over fifty years, two sons, Scott and his wife Sarah of Hockessin, DE and Brian and his wife Erin of Colchester, CT., four grandchildren, Cole, Sylvia, Niko and Lili and her brother Michael and his wife Beth of Cromwell, CT. In addition she leaves many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sat. April 23 at 11 AM at The First Congregational Church of Yarmouth.
