Sandra Yacavoni

Sandra J. Yacavoni, 80, of Northfield, VT, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, VT.
Sandra was born on February 26, 1945, to Gunner Freeman and Ruth Goodall in Barre, VT. She attended school in Montpelier and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1964. On July 11, 1964, she married Amerigo (Sonny) Yacavoni. Their only child, John, was born in 1966.
Sandra was employed by New England Tel & Tel as a long-distance operator and Ambassador Insurance as a claims clerk. She then moved on to a career at Northfield Wood Products as a product finisher, a position she very much enjoyed and held until her retirement.
Sandra enjoyed watching old movies, playing cards, and cooking. She was noted for her pies, especially her apple pie.
Sandra is predeceased by her husband, Amerigo; both parents and sisters, Carole Bonin and Candy Deininger. Survivors include her son, John, his wife, Kathy, and granddaughters, Molly and Mary Yacavoni, all of Northfield, VT, sister Deanna and her husband Fred Rugo of Dumfreys, VA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on July 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Cemetery in Northfield, VT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northfield Senior Center.
