Sarah Lynn Gehringer, 34, of Birmingham, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 31, 2025.
Born July 1, 1991, in Amherst, OH, Sarah was a lifelong resident of Birmingham. She graduated from Firelands High School and JVS in 2009.
Sarah’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted mother to her two beloved children, Alayna Mae Hill and Jaxon James Hill.
She also had a remarkable compassion for animals. Known for her kind heart, Sarah never hesitated to rescue a stray in need. Her gift as a skilled dog groomer allowed her to combine her talent with her passion.
Sarah cherished simple joys-trips to the Outer Banks, the thrill of roller coasters at Cedar Point, and time spent outdoors with family, friends, and animals alike.
She is survived by her children, Alayna and Jaxon; her loving parents, Lewis and Susan Gehringer; and her sister, Lisa Gehringer.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary Ann and John Jessel, and her paternal grandparents, Don and Betty Gehringer.
A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in her honor to Kaleidoscope K9’s, reflecting her lifelong love of animals.
