Richard "Rick" J. Gehringer Sr, passed away at the age of 66 surrounded by his loving family on July 2, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Schneider).
Born to James J. and Virginia T. Gehringer, Rick remained a lifelong resident of Warrington, Pennsylvania. He grew up in a large family with his parents and five siblings. His life was full of love, surrounded by family with his grandparents who lived next door and the extended family of many aunts, uncles, and cousins who spent countless time together.
Early in life, Rick was enamored with anything mechanical, always working on old cars and dirtbikes. He could be found working hard alongside all his siblings at the local restaurant or having BB Gun fights throughout the backwoods of the large family properties.
He graduated from Central Bucks East and received his Welding Certificate from Middle Bucks Institute of Technology. In high school, Rick played football all three years. After high school he went on to a more intense sport, rugby. He played for Doylestown Rugby Club for many years. He was also a member of the Bucks County Dune Buggy Club, riding and camping all throughout Coal Country and could be found driving his dune buggy in parades through Hatboro with his family and friends.
From the age of 17 until his passing, Rick was a dedicated employee of Earthborne Equipment, where he towed and fabricated trucks and heavy equipment. His unwavering commitment and hard work made him an integral part of the company's history and family, and he was deeply valued by all who worked alongside him.
Rick was quick witted, charming, knowledgeable, and generous. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a soft heart and kind soul which was often shown through his love of his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Rick always displayed curiosities in their interests and was sure to have a golf cart ready for their adventures. Some of his most unforgettable memories were created in spending time in the mountains with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Along with his wife, Rick is survived by his children: Samantha Gehringer (Mike Chrzanowski) and Richard Gehringer Jr (Jackie), Jenna Marshall (Steve), Sarah Mallon; his grandchildren: Alyssa, Coralyn, Logan, Benjamin, Emery, Macklin and Avery. He is also survived by his siblings: James Jr. (Rosanna), Catherine Quali (Michael), Michael, Mary Foy (Larry) and John (Helen) as well as many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
