Sarah Wagner passed away peacefully Sunday, October 13.
Sarah was born in July 1978 into a large loving family.
She attended Sacred Heart Academy, graduating in 1996, and then furthering her education at UK, majoring in Fine Arts.
Sarah grew up surrounded by her parents, brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles and many dear friends who shared weekends at Lake Cumberland and boating in the Keys. She was in her element when she was floating or skiing with her dad. But her most treasured moments were with her sons Max and Will. They were the loves of her life.
Sarah definitely had a flair for art and was able, thanks to the guidance of her father, to develop a career in woodworking. Through this arena, she created multiple unique designs of live edge tables, cabinets and anything wood related. Her love of art came naturally through the inspiration of her grandmothers and great-grandmother, Granny, Ma and Mur.
Sarah spent much of her life at football and baseball fields, rooting on her brothers Tony and Andy while her dad Mike was at the helm, coaching. She attempted different sports but she and her friends were better suited on the sidelines.
Sarah was preceded in death by her brother Andy, her grandparents Jeanne and Joseph F Wagner, Laura and Rudy Harpring; her special aunts, Babs and Katharine, and cousin, Jarrett Mynear.
Left to cherish her life are her mom and dad Mike and Margaret Wagner, her brother Tony Wagner (Kennetta), her sons Max and Will Heitkamper, many dear cousins, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, many dear friends, and her constant companions, Kobe and Charlie.
Please send any donations in her name to the Andy Wagner Foundation Trinity High School.
Visitation will be Friday, October 18, 2024, 9:00am at St. Patrick Church. Mass will follow at 10:00am with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
