Scheyla "Jackie" Jeanette Stephens, age 79 years, of Stearns, Kentucky passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky.
Jackie was born in Oak Hill, West Virginia on December 12, 1944 to Leroy Willie and Scheyla (Uhl) Nutter. She was a remarkable woman who owned and operated the Pine Knot Laundermat. Jackie's dedication and hard work were evident in everything she did. She also served as a treasurer for the VFW, showing her commitment to her community and those who served their country.
Apart from her professional achievements, Jackie found joy in simple pleasures. She loved crocheting, a skill she honed over the years, which brought warmth and beauty into the lives of those lucky enough to receive her handmade creations. Playing pool was another pastime that brought her great enjoyment.
