Scott Daniel Grieser passed away at his home in Zionsville, Indiana on February 17, 2025, at the age of 65. Scott was born on May 30, 1959, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Ardis (Peterson) and Glenn (Jiggs) Grieser. Scott spent his childhood in Wahoo, NE and his adult years in San Clemente, CA, Wahoo, NE, Auburn, CA and Zionsville, IN. He was a cherished husband, father, and a respected member of his community.
Scott graduated from Wahoo High School in 1977 and attended Kearney State College where he was a walk-on for the baseball team and the University of Nebraska. Scott initially embarked on a career in the insurance industry before following his passion for artistry and entrepreneurship, ultimately owning and operating his own painting company, Berkley Ridge Painting. His dedication to his work reflected not only his talent but also his commitment to quality and service, which resonated with all who had the pleasure of working with him. Scott utilized his talent and skills at painting to give back to the communities that he was part of by painting The Pauline United Methodist Church in Pauline, Nebraska, Pioneer United Methodist Church in Auburn, California, The Historic Maple Lawn Farmstead and Zionsville Youth Soccer Association Facilities in Zionsville, Indiana. Scott received great joy in making something run down look new again.
Scott loved sports, both playing and watching. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and huge Husker Football fan. After moving to Indiana, he became an Indianapolis Colts fan and a Purdue Football and Basketball fan. Scott had a lifelong love for baseball. He played baseball as a kid and as a young man at Kearney State College, he played for and then coached the Wahoo Town Team and coached Will and Luke's Little League Teams. Scott's favorite place and pastime was hiking the trails near the confluence of the two forks of the American River near Auburn, California.
Scott is survived by his wife, Lisa Bostock, Children: Jessica (Jake) Wright of Skipton, England, Will Grieser, Luke Grieser, and Allison Grieser of Zionsville, IN, Grandchild: Evelyn Wright, Siblings: Steve Grieser of Wahoo, NE, Randy (Karen) Grieser of Pensacola, FL: Curt (Mary) Grieser of Lincoln, NE, and Janis Grieser of Irving, TX, and Nieces and Nephew: Tara, Jasmine and Chase, many good friends and his very best friend Sprinkles, ones of his Vizslas.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Ardis Grieser, and sister Jane Grieser.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 9, 2025, at 10:30 am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Wahoo, Nebraska. A reception will follow the funeral service at the church Fellowship Hall. The Committal Service will follow the reception.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pauline United Methodist Church.
