Scott Bradley Saltzman, 63, of Bellevue, NE was born on Monday June 18, 1962, in Omaha, Nebraska to Rose (Coggins) Saltzman and Merle Saltzman. Scott passed away after a short battle with cancer on August 23, 2025. He was the 7th of 9 children raised in the Saltzman household in Bellevue, NE. He attended Bryan High School class of 1980. After high school he started his career in Construction. Scott was married and had two children that he spoke often about, Amanda and Brandon Saltzman. Scott has built many homes in the Omaha area as well as many projects for his family and friends. He had owned his own construction business for many years before becoming a project manager. Scott spent these last few years at Ronco construction and was very grateful for all that Ronco has done for him.
Scott raced enduro motorcycles and hill climbed in his younger years. This started his passion for stock car racing, a hobby he was involved in for over 40 years. It was there that Scott created a long-lasting friendship with his best friend Ed Kosiski. He traveled to many racetracks across the United States with Ed to work on racecars. He has met so many friends along the way that he added several brothers to his family tree. Scotts love for racing intensified the day his son Brandon Saltzman started racing. Together they won a track championship at Shelby County Speedway in 2021. Although Scott would love to tell everyone else how to drive, he never drove a racecar himself. His passion for Racing and "what you should have done" saying will be missed. We will also miss watching him throw his hands up in the air and walk away when something didn't go as planned. All joking aside, Scott had the biggest heart and would help anyone and that is what we will all truly miss.
Scott is survived by his loving Partner Debra Hobscheidt, Daughter Amanda Saltzman, Grandchildren; Aariyah, Anakin, Atari, Aasha, Penelope (Brandon)Saltzman, Stepfamily; Jason (Sandy)Hobscheidt, Kelly (Shane) Emmens, Step-grandchildren Chelsea (Tanner) Clawson, Jacob Hobscheidt, Sydney Hobscheidt, Callen Clawson, Riley Emmens, Christian Emmens. Siblings; Sandy (Tom) Beedle, Judy (Bill) Anderson, Butch (Sharon) Saltzman, Barb (Doug)Dempster, Mark (Linda)Saltzman, Steve Saltzman, Ginger (Mark) Unverzagt, Rose Bonacci, nieces, nephews and cousins. Best Friend Ed (Trish) Kosiski, Kortney (Micah) Brown& family, Michaela (Max) Dale & family, Tia (Kyle) Tanner& family, Kale (Taylor) Kosiski, and Many Racing Family and Friends.
