Scott Allen Thompson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Allen Thompson, who passed away at the age of 53.
Scott was born on March 24, 1971, in Marrero, Louisiana, but spent his adult life in New Orleans, where he embraced the culture and called it home.
Scott was an alumni of Archbishop Rummel class of 1989 and Southeastern University. He was a one-of-kind person, who made a lasting impact on all who knew him. Scott was a talented and passionate projectionist. His various creative accomplishments lit up cities across the country, most recently seen through the laser light show at the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. He was committed to the mission of Locks of Love by donating his hair on an annual basis. Scott only wanted one thing, to make people smile, and you could always find him with bubbles, hammocks and quack-horns.
Scott leaves behind his beloved daughters, Linda Ann Harris (Rachel) and Avery Thompson, grandson Ben Yakubowski, his Mother Paula Brown (late, Carl Brown) and Father Thomas "TJ" Thompson (Roberta). Scott also leaves behind his brother Thomas Thompson (Annie Laurie), sister Christy Thompson Bromley and his nieces and nephews: John W Bromley V, Alexis Bromley, Alayna Bromley and Whitman Thompson. As well as many other cousins, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society in memory of Scott.
A memorial service will be held in Scott's memory on Saturday, March 8, 2025, beginning for 1:00pm at Bayou St. John (located at the corner of Harding Dr. and Moss St., at the Cabrini bridge), followed by a Celebration of Life at The Broadside 2:00pm-6:00pm (600 N Broad Ave), and ending with a shindig at Parkview Tavern 7:00pm (910 N. Carrollton Ave).
