Sharon Kay Duncan of Bentonville, AR was born to Jacob D. Nave and Nova A. Rozell-Nave on December 10, 1957, in Springfield, Missouri. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, mother, 3 sisters, Cathy, Marilyn and Ada, and 3 brothers, Mike, Tom and John David. She is survived by her 2 beloved daughters, Kayla Duncan of Bella Vista, AR and Dayna Phillips of Spartanburg, SC, her 3 dogs, Cash, Jake and Waylon, Dianna Lewis of Springfield, Becky Nave of Springfield, James Nave of Springfield, Carol Girth of Bentonville, AR, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Sharon passed away on March 9th, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, AR surrounded by her loving daughters and beloved nieces and nephews, and close friends.
Sharon loved telling stories of her youth growing up on the family farm in Springfield, MO, such as the family cat bringing home baby bunnies and chasing their bull onto the local golf course. Sharon was briefly married to Danny Duncan of Springdale, AR, and raised her girls as a single mom. Sharon taught Kayla and Dayna to be strong, independent, adventurous, to work hard and pushed them to do their absolute best in everything thing they do.
She enjoyed teaching her girls to can fruits, vegetables and sauces and sharing them with her family and friends, and of course, cooking. Sharon showed her love for family and friends by cooking for them, and if you ever had her chocolate sheet cake, you tasted the love in her cooking. If you got a jar of her delicious, canned items you always heard "Bring my jar back!!" Sharon was a proud dog rescuer, and all the dogs she brought home were rescues, which encouraged Kayla and Dayna to rescue dogs of their own.
Sharon's last days were filled with visits and phone calls from mountains of family and friends, and Kayla and Dayna would like to extend their deepest gratitude for bringing a smile to their mother's face in her time of need. Being loved by Sharon was a feeling that cannot be described, and to lose her feels like a light has gone out in our hearts.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life honoring Sharon's memory on March 29th, 2025, 1-3pm at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church at 13455 N. Mt. Pleasant Road, Gravette, AR 72736.

Sharon was a wonderful person, a good friend and trusted colleague. She always made my birthday special, by spoiling me with one of her delicious
carrot cakes. Though I´ve been gone from NWA for 10+ years, we remained in touch. That says everything about her and meant the world to me. I will truly miss her.
