Sharon Rexing Obituary
Sharon was born on October 3, 1935 in Evansville to the late Arzella (Tolliver) Norman. She had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at several area nursing homes and also in housekeeping at Casino Aztar.
Sharon is survived by daughters, Tammy (Steve) Elliott and Jennifer (Pat) Lawrence; a son, Kenneth Cavanaugh; five grandchildren, Brian Shiver, Christopher Rexing, Kenny Cavanaugh, Shelly Cavanaugh and Amber Lawrence and four great grandchildren, Decola "Little D" Frey, Chazlynn and Caydence Rexing and Sophia Lawrence.
In addition to her mother, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Decola Cavanaugh; second husband, Cedric Rexing; by a son, John Franklin Cavanaugh and a grandson, Decola Frey.
Funeral services for Sharon will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, Rev. Terry Gamblin officiating. Entombment will follow in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
