Shawn Michael Hurt

Shawn Michael Hurt, 54, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
Shawn was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 28, 1970 to the late Michael and Linda (Kost) Hurt. He was employed at Walmart for eight years. Shawn enjoyed being outdoors fishing and watching wrestling. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and watching Blippi with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Shawn is survived by his girlfriend, Cindy Rosser of Evansville, IN; daughters, Justus Weber (Tommy) of Henderson, KY, and Precious Balczo (Kevin) of Evansville, IN; sons, James Rosser (Amber) of New Harmony, IN, Donovan Fairchild (Alexis) of Evansville, IN, Skyler Idleman (Emily) of Evansville, IN and Kyle Rosser (Kiley) of Evansville, IN; brothers, Kerry Hurt of Evansville, IN and Shane Hurt of Evansville, IN; brother-in-law, Jebb Anfield (Lizzie) of Hanson, KY; nephews, Kory Hurt of Indianapolis, IN, Dain Hurt of Evansville, IN, Eli Hurt of Evansville, IN, Blaine Anfield of Hanson, KY, Tyke Anfield of Robards KY and Kaige Anfield of Hanson, KY; grandchildren, James Rosser, Jackson Rosser, Beau Rosser, David Rosser, Braxton Idleman, Kingston Idleman, Mateo Rosser, Allison Balczo, Bryson Fairchild, Karter Fairchild, Shilo Fairchild, Joel Weber and Gideon Weber.
Shawn was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kory Hurt.
A visitation for family and friends will be from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for final funeral expenses.
