Rutherfordton - Shawn Allen Sanders, 28, of Coxe Road, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
Born in Gastonia, he was the husband of Megan Stone Sanders and the son of Mary Walker Maldonado (Clayton Maldonado) and the late Rutherfordton -Shawn Allen Sanders, 28, of Coxe Road, passed away March 26, 2025.
Born in Gastonia, he was the husband of Megan Stone Sanders and the son of Mary Walker Maldonado and the late Marvin Walter Sanders. Shawn worked as a mechanic and enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and camping. He loved his family and enjoyed being with them.
In addition to his wife and mother, Shawn is survived by his sons, Ethan Sanders and Nolan Watson; his daughters, Brook Carter and Aubrey Carter; his brothers, Jason Sanders (Haley), Aaron Sanders (Sissy), Kenneth Buchanan (Jaren) and Marvin Sanders (Allison); his sisters, Ashley Rodgers (Michael) and Victoria Hodge (Kayden); his grandfather, Dennis Edward Walker; his aunts and uncles, Elizabeth Guiton (Scott), Teresa Nolan (John), Sherry Walker; his nieces, Miracle Sanders, Zaylee Sanders, Happy Sanders, Emma Sanders, Olivia Sanders, and Addison Sanders; his nephews, Micah Rodgers and Damieon Buchanan.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Walker; his uncle, Dennis Walker; his godmother, Susie Smith, his special friends, Justin Perkins, Scott Brooks, and Jamie Phillips; and a step-father, William Hodge.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Gordon Mortuary. Graveside services will be private. Jason Sanders, Aaron Sanders, Kenny Buchanan, Jonathan Searcy, Casey Christenberry, Cole Guiton, and Michael Hobbs will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be at their respective homes.
