Sheridan “Sher” McKae Taylor, 22, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on December 25, 2024. 

Memorial services will be at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, January 2, 2025, at More Church, 5511 West Amarillo Blvd. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo. 

Sheridan was born in Amarillo, Texas on November 8, 2002 to Valerie Roberts and Chad Taylor. She attended Bonham middle school where she enjoyed playing volleyball with the school and Kids Inc. Sheridan graduated from Amarillo High School and was attending Amarillo College to become a nurse. 

Sheridan loved her family and especially loved being Ayla’s mom. She loved children and was commonly known as “Sher Bear”. She enjoyed going to school and was a great student. Sheridan was passionate about her opinions, loved to help others, loved deeply, was fiercely protective, and was an overcomer. She was artistic and loved writing poems. 

One of her favorite things to do was go to Cancun with her grandparents, Kenny and Rita Hayhurst. They would go twice a year. She also had a special relationship with Ree and Ganny. 

Sheridan was baptized at More Church by Lyndal Waldrip on December 24, 2023. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Brantley Wade Taylor; grandmother, Rita Hayhurst; grandmother, Lyn Rowland; grandfather, Kenneth Roberts; and uncle, Shae Taylor. 

She is survived by her daughter, Ayla Blair Taylor; mother, Valerie Roberts and fiancé Wade Clay; father, Chad Taylor; brothers, Braxton Ramos and Rustin Ramos; sister, Kaylee Taylor; grandfather, Kenny Hayhurst; aunt and uncle, Bryan and Elisha Oliver; cousins, June Oliver, Colton Nabors, and Evan Nabors; and many additional aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Matthew 5:8 – Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
