Sherrie Ann (Rogers) Carter, 64 of Stephens, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in Mt. Holly, Arkansas.
Sherrie was born January 15, 1961, in Magnolia, Arkansas. She previously worked for First National Bank, Sears in Camden and Magnolia, and Ivan Smith Furniture. Sherrie loved cooking for her family and friends. This inspired her to write and market her own cookbook, Southern Girl Cooking. She was a member of Mt. Holly Community Church and loved her dogs so much, Wingy and Dolly.
Sherrie is preceded in death by her parents, Billy Robert Rogers and Mary Jo (Wilson) Rogers; paternal grandparents, Wilborn and Effie Rogers; and maternal grandparents, Porter and Mary D. Wilson.
Sherrie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert Carter, Jr. of Stephens; children, Ashlie Tobey of Hot Springs, AR, Chelsea Slack and husband Devin of New Orleans, LA, Brad Carter, and Wesley Carter and wife Amber all of Stephens; grandchildren, Julian, Edison, and Jet Tobey, Lauren, Natalee, and Aniston Carter; brother Randy Rogers and wife Kim of Sherwood, AR; sister Judy Wells and husband Bubba of Buckner, AR; and uncle Jimmy Wilson and wife Gay Nell of Magnolia.
Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Mt. Holly Community Church with a funeral service at 2:00 PM with Bro, Chuck Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Riddick Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
Active pallbearers will be Brad Carter, Wesley Carter, Devin Slack, Kelly Lamkin, Scott Witcher, and Jeff Lamkin. Honorary pallbearer will be Brent Newton.
Memorial Donations may be made to Mt. Holly Community Church or to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
