Shirley Clark Dickson, 90, beloved wife of the late Truman Dickson, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Leila Genoble Clark.
Shirley attended Draughon's Business College from 1951-1952. She was dedicated to her job as a customer service representative with SCN, later Wachovia. She was proud to have been born in the Judson Mill Village and attended Christ United Methodist Church for the majority of her life.
A proud member of Berea Friendship United Methodist Church, Shirley found strength and solace in her faith, which guided her throughout her life. Her warm demeanor and compassionate nature made a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a dutiful wife and mother, and she loved her family immensely and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by daughters, Kathy Shead (Steve) and Karen Dickson Mainous; grandchildren, Zack Mainous (Krystal), Layton Mainous, Raechel Hackett (Adam), Ashley Taylor (Brandon); and great grandchildren, Connor Mainous, Marlie Mainous, Cooper Taylor, Ali Taylor, Shelby Taylor, Samuel Shead, and Maddi Hackett.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Steve Mainous.
A graveside service will be held Monday, March 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park with the visitation to follow.
