Shirley Ann Doherty

PRESQUE ISLE: Shirley Ann Doherty, 89, passed away October 3, 2025 at the Aroostook House of Comfort. She was born March 20, 1936 at Easton, the daughter of Zibe and Flossie (Fitzherbert) Davenport. She worked many years as a trimmer/packer at McCain Foods in Easton. Shirley was a devoted and faithful member of the Church of Jesus in Presque Isle. She is survived by two sons; Roderick Davenport of Sanford, Jody Doherty and his wife Ruth of Presque Isle, a step son David Doherty and his wife Donna of Mass., a step daughter Karen Doherty Bergeron of South Berwick, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wiley Doherty in 2016, five brothers; Ernest, Ralph, Perley, Harold, and Jessie Davenport, five sisters; Vera Davenport, Madelyn Davenport, Doris Boyd, Pearl Aycox, and Fern Parker. A funeral service will be held 11AM Friday Oct. 10, 2025 at Bowers Funeral Home 238 Main Street Presque Isle with Pastor Harry Davenport officiating. A reception will follow immediately at the Church of Jesus Chapman Street in Presque Isle. A private interment will be at Estes Park Cemetery in Easton.
