Shirley Holmes Obituary

Shirley was raised in Grapevine, graduating from Grapevine High School, and later lived in Tennessee before moving to Pine Bluff. She attended cosmetology school and then attended SEARK. Shirley worked as a cosmetologist until her retirement. She loved spending time with family, cookouts and shopping trips with her girls. Shirley was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Diana Wilkins-Cole and Angela Williams (Clint); two grandchildren, Dakota Wilkins (Ashley) and Morgan Durham (Keith); one great granddaughter and another due in November; two sisters, Linda Jean Murphy (James) and Kimberly Maulding (Jerry); along with many loved nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, John Allen "Jack" Holmes, whom she married August 3, 1983 in Springfield, Tennessee and who went to be with the Lord, December 10, 2016; and a sister, Barbara Dell Horn.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, August 18, 2025 at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Cantwell will officiate. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery in Grapevine. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, August 17, 2025.
Pallbearers will be Dakota Wilkins, Charles "Chucky" Hults, Brad Vilches, Colton Vilches, Brent Cole and Trey Mauldin; Honorary pallbearer will be Keith Durham.
