Service for Shirley Jean McPherson, 83, of Blum will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 30, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M., Friday, Augst 30, 2024 prior to the service. Interment will be in Blum Cemetery. The pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason McPherson, Clint McPherson, Colt Carmichael, Nolan Carmichael, Levi McPherson, Steven McPherson and Devin McPherson.

Shirley McPherson went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, in Blum. She was born on June 10, 1941, in Reck, Oklahoma to Ray and Floy (Pickens) Simmoms. Shirley married Kenneth McPherson on May 24, 1957, in Keller. Shirley and Kenneth were married for 66 years, until Kenneth’s death on May 26, 2023. Shirley and Kenneth started their first dairy in 1962 in Roanoke, they were dairy farmers most of their lives. Shirley was a faithful member of the Blum Church of Christ. 

She is survived by her children, Richard and his wife, Terri of Blum ; Craig and his wife, Cathie of Blum; Sonda and Dodd Carmichael of Bynum; David McPherson of Rio Vista; 10 grandchildren, Sabrina and Jeremy Deason, Kaelyn and Seth King, Levi and Rachel McPherson, Jason McPherson, Clint and Lauren McPherson, Steven and Bailey McPherson, Colt and Christina Carmichael, Nolan Carmichael, Jordan and Casey Colbaugh, and Devin McPherson; 20 great-grandchildren; her sister, Beverly and husband, Tim Cooke of Blooming Grove; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth McPherson; her son, Danny McPherson; her parents, Ray and Floy Simmons and her sister, Georgia Harris.
