In Loving Memory of Shirley Annette Woolums
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Annette Woolums, a beloved mom, grandmother and great grandmother and friend. She earned her wings Feb. 2nd, 2025, at the age of eighty-two. Meme/Grammie was a remarkable individual whose life was full of love, kindness, and a deep dedication to her family, friends, and the Lord. She loved her church family at New Hope Baptist church in Cedar Park Texas.
Her journey began on Sept. 5th, 1942, to Katherine Berneice and Wallace Byrd in Waynesboro MS where she raised and grew up as a Christian southern bell. She was an only child and the apple her parents' eye. After elementary, Middle, and High school in Quitman, MS., she attended and graduated from business school. She then worked for a doctor's office as an assistant/secretary. She later worked for First United Methodist church in Coral Springs Florida as the church secretary.
Annette married the love of her life Jimmy Halley on January 27th, 1959, in Starkville Mississippi and together they built a beautiful family. She was a devoted parent to her son Jimmy Wallace and her daughter Jena Andereice.
While on her journey of life, Annette then married Robert Murray. They enjoyed a life of success, marriage and raising a blended family.
As her journey continued, she then married Donald Woolums. They spent the next 32 years traveling and seeing the United States. They then returned to Waynesboro MS where they spent time living next to her parents and being part of the community until her parents passed. At which time, they then returned to Leander Texas to live out their lives near her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Annette's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by Jena Andereice (daughter,) Basil Lyn (son-in-law) Parks Sr., grandson Basil Lyn Jr. and wife Danielle Parks, granddaughter Tiffany Andereice and husband Robert, great grandsons Calvin Robert, Preston Lynn and great granddaughter Audrey Andereice Georgiefski, where they will continue to honor Annette's legacy, family traditions and love for the Lord.
A "Celebration of Life" will be on February 28th, 2025, at 2 PM, at Beck's Funeral Home in Cedar Park TX. to celebrate her life. Officiate Basil Lyn Parks Sr., pall bears; son-in-law Basil Lyn Parks Sr., grandson Basil Lyn Parks Jr., grandson-in-law Robert Michael Georgiefski. honorary pallbearers; Great grandson(s), Calvin Robert and Preston Lynn Georgiefski.
She touched all our lives with her love for travel, belief in God, sense of humor and love of fashion.
Rest in peace, Shirley Annette (Meme/Grammie) Woolums. Your love, wisdom, and kindness will forever be cherished, and you will be dearly missed by all.
