Sophia Gresham Obituary

She was born on May 16th 1945 on the island of Cyprus. She traveled the world and lived in several countries including the UK, Africa, Scotland, Malta and eventually ended in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1978.
Sophia was the 2nd oldest daughter with 3 other siblings. Niki her sister lived in Cyprus, Zoe who lives in England and her brother Bambos who lives in Australia.
She was an amazing hostess and loved her Scorpio parties in November entertaining her friends and neighbors alike. She enjoyed spending time doing needle point and completed more than 10 various tapestries that she displayed throughout her home with pride. She also enjoyed her oil paintings however didn't pursue that passion as often. She did display a painting she completed in her house of a black vase with yellow roses that she had framed. She had a great eye for beauty and was able to create and build a lot of various structures on her property that would always put a smile on her face. She had a one of a kind "green thumb" as they say, as she could take a stick from any type of plant and bury it into her garden and sure enough it would grow.
She was also known for her shop "Cosmetics by Sophia" that she had off Stetson drive in downtown Scottsdale for many years giving people facials and waxing and she met a lot of wonderful people along the way. She also had an etiquette school off Shea and Scottsdale Road and loved to educate and teach people how to sit properly, eat properly and hold a glass the right way. She thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of both while bringing a touch of class to everyone she met. She will be missed by all who had the honor to know her.
Survivors include 2 daughters Natali Schuman of Surprise, Elena Gresham of Scottsdale, and 2 granddaughters Brittani Ritchie of Surprise and Sophi Gresham Jones of Scottsdale.
The family would like to thank Saint Josephs hospital in phoenix for taking wonderful care of her during her final days.
