Stanley Bennett Jr., age 57, of Athens, Ohio, passed away January 29, 2025, at his residence.
Stanley was born on December 8, 1967, in Athens, Ohio to Stanley Bennett Sr. and Mary Lou Bennett. He graduated from Nelsonville High School; worked for Strawn's plumbing; was an avid fisherman and hunter; loved mudding, demolition derbies, dumpster diving, and spending time with his grandbabies.
Surviving are wife of 33 years, Patricia Bennett; children, Chris (Amber Youngblood) Bennett, Tiffany (Mike) Welch of Guysville, Michael (Emily) Bennett of Nelsonville, Stephanie Bennett of Athens, and Terra Riley of The Plains; grandchildren, Ethan, Lexi, Caden, Emmi, Dylan, Joshua, Judd, Brenon, Michael Jr., Luke, Leah, Wyatt, Todd, Jayleigh, and Athena; siblings, Timmy, Lisa, Annie, Laura, and Donald; multiple nieces and nephews; and his multiple loving furbabies.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Misty Riley; aunt, Patty Cheeseman; and uncle, Homer Cheeseman.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Gary Alton officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, 10 am–1 pm & 4-7 pm, and Wednesday, 10 am-1 pm, at the funeral home.
