Stanley W. Zwiebel, 79, of Cridersville, passed away at 2:17 AM on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Wapak Manor.
He was born on May 9, 1946, in Lima to Walter E. and Anna M. (Stonehill) Zwiebel, who both preceded him in death. On May 17, 1969, he married Diane K. Kohler, who survives in Cridersville.
Stan worked for over 25 years at Westinghouse/Sunstrand and later worked for over 25 years as a bus driver for Buckeye Charter and Shawnee High School. He was a 1964 graduate of Shawnee High School and loved attending their basketball games, having been a season ticket holder for over 50 years.
He was a long-time member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. When his boys were younger, he enjoyed coaching them in baseball and soccer for over 15 years. He enjoyed traveling to the Grand Canyon and his houseboat trips to Lake Powell. Above all else, Stan loved driving his Jeep.
Surviving are his three sons, Craig (Marcey) Zwiebel of Pittsburgh, PA, Brian Zwiebel of Perrysburg and Jason Zwiebel of Lima; his grandsons, Jacob and Jeremy Zwiebel; his sister Kathleen A. Nighswander of Delphos. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews Amy Nighswander, Marsha Uchimoto, Melinda Kraus, Michelle Davies, Jennifer Holtzapple, Andy Schneider and Becky Schmerge and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 29, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 101 W. Pearl Street, Wapakoneta.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapak.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
