Stephen Keith Bemiller, 69, of Mount Vernon passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 25, 1956 in Mount Vernon to the late Richard L. Bemiller and Betty Mae (Jones) Bemiller-Irwin.

Stephen retired from the Ariel Corporation with 26 years of service. He enjoyed working on his '63 Chevy II, drag racing, visiting his racing buddies in their racing garages, and going to cruise ins. Stephen loved spending time with his family, attending his granddaughter's softball games and watching her drag race, and watching Friday night movies and football with his grandson.

Stephen is survived by the love of his life, Dixie (Ott) Bemiller whom he married on April18, 1975 and spent over 50 wonderful years together; children, Scott Bemiller and Shaun Bemiller; grandchildren, Brady Bemiller, Cameron Bemiller, and Ashlynn Bemiller; great grandchildren, Elaina and Emilee Bemiller; brother, Greg (Teresa) Bemiller; sisters, Kimberly (Scott) Wilson and Penny (Boone) Moran; several nieces and nephews; and his canine companions, Sammy Girl and Jake, who loved to ride around the yard with Stephen.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lasater Chapel 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon with Minister Stan Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice in Stephens' memory.
