Steven Paul Diamond, 63, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025 after a courageous battle with colon cancer.

Born on April 16, 1962 in Ogden, Utah, to Richard Glen and Margaret (Peggy) Brunetti Diamond, Steve lived a life marked by faith, service, hard work, and deep love for his family and community. In his youth, he traveled the country showing Paint horses and remained active in the 4-H livestock program as a leader and mentor. He graduated from Weber High School and went on to earn a degree in Animal Science from Utah State University.

On November 29, 1985 he married his eternal companion, Randi Christensen, in the Logan Temple, and together they built a life of devotion and joy. As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Steve faithfully served in the California Ventura Mission. Over the years, he gave countless hours in callings ranging from bishopric member and teacher to scout and girls camp cook, youth conference mentor, and trek pioneer. Roles through which he blessed generations of youth and strengthened his community.

Professionally, Steve dedicated more than three decades to the banking industry, beginning in First Security Bank's Management Training Program and spending most of his career with Bank of Utah. He retired in 2023 as Senior Vice President and Commercial Real Estate Officer. Beyond the office, Steve was deeply involved in his community, serving on the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo Committee, the Ogden Pioneer Days Foundation, and the Plain City Council. His love for his community was evident in all he did.

Steve's interests reflected his hardworking and joyful spirit. He cultivated a beautiful garden, always sharing his harvest with family and friends. In 2006, he discovered a love of running and went on to complete marathons, half marathons, and Ragnar relays. He also found peace and joy in the outdoors. Some of his most treasured memories were made hunting and fishing with his boys and traveling with his family.

Even in retirement, Steve's vision and determination never slowed. He pursued his lifelong dream of providing care for others in his community, and this year saw that dream come to fruition as he developed and opened Sunflower Assisted Living in Plain City. It was his heartfelt belief that no one should have to leave the community they loved in their final years.

Above all, Steve's greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Randi; his children, Bradley (Brianna) Diamond, Jeffrey (Heather) Diamond, and Aimee Diamond; his cherished grandchildren, Sawyer, Jane, and Theodore Diamond; his mother, Peggy Diamond; his brothers, Tony and John (Mindy) Diamond; and his sister, Rachel (Kerry) Farnsworth. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, and his brother, Matthew.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Inspiration Home Health and Hospice, especially his nurse, Alisha, for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Plain City Meadows Ward, 2280 North 3600 West. Viewings will be held Friday, August 22, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the church, and again Saturday from 9:30–10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow in the Plain City Cemetery under the direction of Myers Mortuary of Ogden.
