Steven B. Jakobe, 63, of Raytown, MO received his turbo charged angel wings February 12, 2025 at home. A Farewell Service will be held at 3:00pm, Monday, February 17, 2025 at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO. Visitation will be held prior to the Farewell Service at 2:00pm. Dress down as Steve would, hoodies/jeans preferred.
Steve. A man of fortitude. Cruising down the teeter totter of cancer, while exhibiting a true warriors mentality, he never gave up. He never let the sickness define him. He laughed at the face of cancer with love.
With a work ethic that was beyond commendable, he constantly challenged his mind with putting the pieces back together. He never did find a puzzle he couldn't solve.
His love for mentoring those around him was beyond evident. Whether it be helping Josh with his van, to talking with Matt about his love for cars, or showing his sons how to be a man.
Steve was married on November 11, 2011, in the world's smallest chapel he dedicated his life to loving wife, until his last breath. We love you Steve. You. Are. Perfect.
He was preceded in death by: Father, Bernard; Mother, Margaret; Big Brother, Ronnie; Big Sister, Judy; dogs, Dutchess, Piggy and Tonka.
Survivors include: Dedicated Loving Wife, Karen; Big Brothers, John and Jerry; Big Sisters, Mary, Susan and Nancy; Favorite Child, Jaime (Michael) Whitsitt; Chosen Son, Nate (Ashley) Daniel; War Hero, Jeff (Priya) Daniel; Youngest Treasured Buddies, James, Alisha, Atlas, Landon, Lillyana, Ronak, and Akash; and most importantly, his 1969 Chevy Van.
