Steven "Steve" Knight, 74, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.
Steve was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 26, 1948 to the late Elliott "Bud" Knight and Marjorie (Seneff) Knight-Main. He graduated from North High School and Evansville College. Steve worked as a finance manager at Expressway Dodge for over 20 years until his retirement. He was a collector of many things, especially old fishing lures. Steve enjoyed spending time at his happy place, Holiday Hills Resort at Lake Barkley. You could also find Steve sitting on his deck with his "pork chop" in hand. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
Steve is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sheila (Willis) Knight of Evansville, IN; daughters, Melissa Knight-Russell (William) and Vicky Knight-Martin (Brian "Beef"); grandchildren, Steven Knight (Jenny), Shelby Martin (Sam), Savannah Moore (Ian), Brandon Russell, Avery Russell, Brian Russell and Sydney Martin; seven great grandchildren with three more on the way.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Kenneth Knight.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Gathering Place on the Browning Funeral Home Campus, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
