Steven Andrew Wiles

Steven Andrew Wiles, 68, Rittman, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023 after a long hard battle with cancer.
Steve was born on May 20, 1954 to Bobby and Jahala (Ennis) Wiles and graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1972. He later graduated from auto body school in Akron and on April 28, 1979 married Nancy Jane Pittman who survives. Steve was a 45 year member of Akron Local 285 and retired from Cleveland Cement in 2005. He was a member of Bethany Friends Church where he was a drummer and singer in the praise band and he enjoyed rebuilding cars and tractors and making old things like new. He had made his home in Burbank prior to moving to Rittman three years ago.
Surviving is his wife, Nancy; son and daughter-in-law, Jesse and Sharon Wiles of Rittman; granddaughter, Alyssa Wiles; 4 step-grandchildren; 7 step great-grandchildren; his mother, Jahala Meager of Wadsworth; a brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Kim Wiles of Wadsworth; sister, Edwinna Joan Anderson of Sharon Center; step-brother and step-sisters, Kenny Meager, Judy Mata and Debra Meager, many nieces and nephews and special friends, Henry, Roger and Charlie.
He was preceded in death by a son, Todd on April 15, 2022, granddaughters, Abigail and Anna Jane, his father, Bobby Wiles and his step-father, Dan Meager.
Services will be Monday, Feb. 20th at 5:00 p.m. at Bethany Friends Church, 8127 Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth with Rev. William Quigley officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. A private interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Friends Church.
