Sue McCoy Obituary

Sue was a 1954 graduate of East Aurora High School. She had several jobs before retiring from Caterpillar in 1996 with twenty eight years of service. In her retirement she drove a bus for over ten years for Laidlaw Bus Company. She was active in the Batavia Ladies of the Moose, the ladies auxiliary for the Batavia VFW and was the past state president for the Fraternal Order of Eagles club 1606.
She is survived her four children, Kevin Brungart, Roger (Michelle) Brungart, Jr., Melody Brungart, Marta Garcia; twelve grandchildren, Kirsten (William) Czenk, Steven (Michelle) Brungart, Jeffery Brungart, Blaine Brungart, Roger Brungart, III, Samantha Brungart, Jeremy Sherman, Robbie Brungart, Carmen Caltzontzin, Stephanie Loza, Tiffany Gaimari, Taylor Gaimari; great grandmother of eight; one brother, Charles Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William McCoy; her parents, Charles and Edith (Prusell) Taylor; three sisters, Phyllis Lewis, Nancy Tinder, Dorothy Vitto; and a brother, Robert Taylor.
Sue was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Her kind heart and happy smile will be dearly missed by those who loved her,
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY; Rev. Reginald Sey will officiate with interment at River Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506 630-631-5500

I learned from Sue and Bill at FOE 1606. They taught many of us that having fun and helping others came hand in hand.

I grew up with Sue and her family since grade school. My best friend was her sister Nancy, of whom we had many sleepovers. Her mom and dad were very gracious and welcoming people into their home. I got to know Sue better when she and her husband Bill were deeply involved in the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Club in Aurora. They were very active in that club for many years. I will miss the memories of Sue, Nancy, and the rest of her family that have endured me through the years. RIP Sue, you are now with many of your family members rejoicing in your reunion.
