Susan Ann Berg

Susan Ann Berg, age 57, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at her home, with her loving family by her side on Sunday, September 3, 2023, following a long courageous battle with cancer. Sue was born in Appleton on November 8, 1965, to the late Ronald and Shirley (Klister) Stier. She graduated with the class of 83 at Appleton East High School.
On June 18, 1988, Sue was united in marriage to Greg Berg in Appleton. The couple have enjoyed over 35 years together. She was a long-standing employee at St. Elizabeth hospital where she's worked various positions for many years. The last 5 years she's worked as a special needs bus aid with the Appleton School District.
Sue loved to cook, her specialty being lasagna, but most of all – she loved spending time with her family. She was a very dedicated wife and mother and took great pride in keeping a neat household.
She will be missed by her husband Greg, Appleton; daughter, Leah Berg, Palm Bay, FL; son, Nate Berg, Appleton; mother, Shirley Stier, Appleton; and sister, Cathy Lohr, Appleton. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald; brother, James; mother-in-law, Shirley; brother-in-law, Dan; nephew, Matthew; and niece, Angela.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, September 9th, at the Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel from 11 am until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
