Susan Jane Mehrens, age 72, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on June 1, 2024. Sue was born in Milwaukee, WI to Henry and Frances Schmidt (nee Holochwost) on January 30, 1952.
Sue is survived by her husband of 52 years, Andrew; daughter Kris (John) Warnke; grandchildren Caleb and Brendan; brother Larry; cousins Melodie (Fred) Ashland, Margaret Schmidt and Sr. Mary Ann Schmidt ; nieces Ann (Terrence) Gairy and Donna (Will) Yap. Along with other family and friends.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents.
In her free time, Sue enjoyed cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers, fishing in Canada, and mastering the art of cooking. With music always playing in the background, Sue found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished spending time with her family.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the hospice staff at ProHealth Home Care for their compassionate care during Sue's final days. They also extend a special thank you to the Zori Family and all the home health aides for their unwavering support and love.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center in honor of Sue's memory.
A visitation will take place on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (NEW LOCATION: 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 2:00pm-4:00pm with a service to follow.
