Ted Parisella Obituary

Theodore was born in Poughkeepsie on December 25, 1947. He was the son of Charles J. Parisella, Sr. and Esther Parisella Sigler. He graduated from Red Hook High School in 1967 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps in San Diego, California.
On September 13, 1970, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Poughkeepsie, he married the former Pamela Jean Colacicco (The Love of his Life) who predeceased Theodore in 2003 after fighting a long sickness in which Theodore took care of Pamela.
Theodore was employed by U.S. Postal Service for 25 years, retiring in 2001.
An avid sports fan, he proudly rooted for the New York Giants and New York Yankees.
Theodore is survived by his son, Ted Parisella II; daughter, Paula Parisella-Donaldson, and her partner, Timothy Jackson, all of Poughkeepsie; three granddaughters, Paige "Bella" Parisella, Morgan Nia Donaldson, and Timiya Elise Jackson; niece, Joanne LaSusa, and her husband, Bruce, and their daughter, Noelle; nephew, Joe Williams, and his wife, Carol, and their son, Tony, and his wife, Isabel, and daughter, Jackie, and her husband, Mike; nephew, Robert Favreau; brother-in-law, Frank Colacicco, of Illinois; and many cousins and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son, Ted Parisella; three brothers, Chuck, Tom, and Andrew " Tony" Parisella; his one and only sister, Eugenia E. Favreau; and mother and father-in-law, Viola J. and Frank Colacicco.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
A period of visitation will take place from 9 to 10 AM, Friday January 5th, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am at Regina Coeli Church, Route 9, Hyde Park. Bishop Gerardo Colacicco, his cousin, will be officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
