Little late here as I just noticed Terry Passed. A great memory for me was that around 2006 I had to do an interview with someone that was a successful businessman. Terry only knew my family and not myself personally. He graciously took time out of his day to answer all of my questions from my MBA class at IWU. I not only enjoyed every minute but learned some great things because he was so candid and was clearly someone that loved the Lord. It was the highlight of my late in life degree. I´m sure he influenced many people in his life. Thank you Terry

I joined Terry at VANCOM in the Summer of 1985. Thus began the 12 most satisfying years of my 43 year business career.
Terry was my leader. As CEO, he was charismatic, brave and decisive. His leadership built a company significant in all the industries it served.
My friendship and association with Terry will always be in my thoughts and memories.

My sincerest condolences to the Linda and the Van Der Aa family in the loss of Terry. He was truly an icon in the transportation industry. Terry and his brother John gave me the opportunity of my life to serve as Chief Operating Officer for ATC Vancom for almost 20 years. He was truly a visionary and most of all a true friend. He made an indelible impact on the lives of so many in the U.S. and around the world. Thank you Terry and the Van Der Aa family. You will always hold a special place in my heart. May God continue to bless you.

I had the true privilege of working with Terry and the VanDerAa family as his executive assistant at Vancom (1 River Place and Oakbrook Terrace). Not only was Terry my boss, but he was a friend and mentor. I have so many memories and friendships from that time... especially Terry and John "interviewing"my then husband to be Roderick :) we´ll be celebrating 30 years of marriage this year. Terry and Linda attended our wedding and I watched their children grow up. Such blessed memories. My sincere condolences to Linda and the entire family. I pray God grant you peace and comfort at this time.
Terry, well done good and faithful servant.

My deepest condolences to the Van Der Aa family and to all of Terry's friends including those on his corporate/business side. As a former ATC employee (where I started my public transit career), I got to know and respect Terry for his kindness and focused leadership. I am forever grateful for all my experiences working for him. May he rest in peace with our Lord!
