Theresa R. Diodati, 92, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Geneva Center for Rehabilitation.
She was born August 19, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of John and Magdeline (Zukowski) Ryczkowski and had been an area resident since 1989.
Theresa was a devoted member of St. Joseph Calasanctius Church in Jefferson. An avid reader, she had a particular fondness for mystery novels and cop TV shows. She took great pleasure in her coffee, always made with four grains of sugar, and had a love for chocolate. She loved Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers and Pirates.
Left to cherish her memories are her four children, Dennis (Sue Dilly) Diodati, Michael (Sandy) Diodati, David (Fran) Diodati, Valerie (Jeff) Wiles; one step-daughter, Mary Laverne (Rudy) McGuire; grandchildren, Jeffery (Catherine) Wiles, Melissa (Shane) Buck, Devae Diodati, Cheyenne Diodati, Shawn Diodati, Alan Mausling, Dennis Diodati, Colleen Diodati, Amanda Everly, Brianne Thibodeaux, and Matthew Thibodeaux; she also has many great grandchildren, including Gracie and Andrew; and several nieces and nephews.
Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Diodati, whom she married on May 14, 1960; her parents; her siblings, Harry Ryczkowski, Veronica Chismar, Dorothy Fedorsky, Rose Tucker, and Ed Rich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church, 32 East Jefferson St., Jefferson. Fr. John Ettinger will preside at 12PM. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling hours will take place the night before on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 6PM – 8PM at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula.
