Thomas P. Davis "Tommy D" passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 24 only days after celebrating his 60th birthday. He was a resident of the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia living formerly in Lawncrest.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, the son of the late William Charles Davis, Jr. and Louise P. Davis, he was the loving father of Jacqueline Shepeski (Edward), Thomas C. and Patrick W. Davis and the loving grandfather of Ella, Ava and Delaney. He is survived by his siblings, Patricia L. Healey (Gerald), Carol D. Miller, Joseph M. Davis (Roxanna), Diane L. Pavlov (Valer), Charles T. Davis (Catherine) and was preceded in death by his brother William C. Davis, III (Joanne) and sister, Katie E. Glowacki (Mark).
He is also survived by many numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.
Tommy grew up in the Lawncrest neighborhood of Philadelphia. He attended St. Williams grade school and enjoyed his time at both Cardinal Dougherty and Northeast High School. With Tommy's tall stature he spent most of his youth playing sports. He would frequently speak about memories of time spent with his parents and 7 eldest siblings, often at their weekend home in Neshaminy. Tommy was a jack of all trades, he was best known for owning TD's Pub and subsequently TD's Irish Pub, both in the Northeast section of Philadelphia. If you were from the Lawndale area, you certainly knew who TD was thanks to his big heart and larger-than-life personality. He made everyone feel comfortable and knew how to get a whole room laughing. He truly loved spending time down the shore, and up the mountains. A true Philadelphia sports fan, he spent much time watching Eagles games with his friends and family. Tommy also enjoyed golfing in his spare time. He most cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. Tommy was referred to as "Pop-T" by his 3 granddaughters for who he loved very much. Tommy would often say "life is too short, you must make the most out of the little time you have" and that is what he certainly did.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, September 29, 2023 from 6 to 8PM at Campbell and Thomas Funeral Home, 905 Second Street Pike, Richboro, PA 18954 and on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:30AM in Saint Vincent DePaul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will be held in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at a future date yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111 would be appreciated by his family. A link to their donation page is listed in the Memorial Contribution section below.
