A life well-lived, a man well-loved

In Loving Memory of Thomas Eual Flemons Jr.

Thomas Eual Flemons Jr. was born on December 1, 1937, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Wilma Dayton Flemons and Tom Flemons, Sr. He grew up in Gainesville, Texas, and after high school proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine.

Following his service, Tom pursued higher education, first at the University of Texas at Austin, and later graduating with a business degree from the University of North Texas in Denton. His career in the technology industry was marked by dedication and success, culminating as Vice President of West Associates Sales Manufacturing Company in Dallas.

It was in Dallas that he met the love of his life, Gayle Lindsey. After a long courtship, they married in 1973, welcoming their daughter Lindsey in 1975 and son Thomas III in 1977. In 1979, the family settled in Dripping Springs, Texas, where Tom and Gayle built a life together for the next 46 years. Their family grew again in 2011, when Thomas III married Megan Mandigo, bringing even more love and joy into Tom's life.

Tom's passions included tennis, and most especially bird hunting with the guys. From Texas fields to faraway places like Scotland, Argentina, Honduras, and Africa, hunting gave him joy and fellowship. He often joked that opening day of dove season should be a national holiday.

Above all, Tom will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and devotion to family. He was a loving husband, an exceptional father, and a man who cared deeply for people, especially elders, children, and dogs. His legacy of love and integrity will live on in the countless lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle; his children, Lindsey and Thomas; his daughter-in-law, Megan; his sister Nancy Miller and husband James; his sister-in-law, Tess Arrington; and several nieces and nephews.
