Thomas Getz Obituary
Born August 31, 1957 in East Stroudsburg, the son of the late Walter Layton Getz Sr and Ruth Ellen (Berger) Getz-Scott. He was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
Heworked for the former Kulp Foundry in East Stroudsburg for 11 years, and then TRL Trucking in Pittston.
In addition to wife, He is survived by his children, Thomas Charles Getz Jr of West Virginia, Gregory Allen Getz of East Stroudsburg, Andrew Thomas Getz and his girlfriend Heather Hull of East Stroudsburg; his grandson Tylor Getz of Carbondale.
His siblings Deborah Getz Steier and her husband John of Bath, and Robert W. Getz and his wife Tammy of New Castle, Delaware, Paul Getz and his wife Debbie of Allentown; his godson Shannon Martin Sphar; his nieces and nephews, Cody Tarik Scott, Kimberly Ruth Sphar Kochanski, Virginia Witzke, Robert W. Getz Jr, and Joshua C. Getz, Paul John Getz Jr and Aiden Getz Franklin George VanWhy Jr, Matthew VanWhy, Devon VanWhy, Amanda VanWhy and Ricky VanWhy Jr.
He was predeceased by his brother Walter Layton Getz Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 9, 2022 at 7:30pm the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Margie Good officiating. Cremation will follow.
There will be a viewing on Saturday April 9, 2022 from 6:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg top help with funeral expenses
