Thomas Mudrick Obituary

Thomas was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 15, 1952 and was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Marks) Mudrick. He graduated from Father Judge High School in Philadelphia, and attended LaSalle College, and Temple University from which he earned his Masters in Social Work. Thomas worked as a social worker in the Department of Human Services in Philadelphia in the Child Welfare Division for many years. After retirement, he served as a court appointed special advocate in York until his illness. Thomas was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and enjoyed golfing and coaching his sons in sports. He was also a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in East York.
In addition to his loving wife Theresa, Thomas is survived by his sons Kevin Mudrick and Michael Mudrick and wife Hannah; his grandsons Brendan and Colin; his nephew John Mudrick; and his niece Virginia Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his brother Edward Mudrick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Thomas' Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Rd., York, PA 17402 with Rev. Peter Rettig as celebrant. Interment will be held privately.
Funeral services are under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of East York.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Thomas' memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P.O. Box 22324, New York, NY 10087.
