Thomas John Pirkl

Thomas John Pirkl passed away in Snellville, Georgia on December 25, 2024. He was 33.
Thomas was born in Omaha, Nebraska on June 19, 1991. He moved with his family to Atlanta, Georgia where he graduated from St. Pius X Catholic High School in 2009. After earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation, Thomas went on to become a gifted visual artist specializing in ink drawings, pencil, and scratch-painting on mixed media. With a rich baritone voice, a sharp wit, and a sense of humor bordering on irreverent, he was a natural fit for his pursuits in voice acting and standup comedy.
Thomas loved music, and hearing his voice was a pleasure. He was an avid gamer and a lifelong learner. Few could be in a room with Thomas without learning something new, losing an argument, or bursting into laughter - despite their best efforts. Thomas was a passionate person, fiercely loyal to his friends and family, and with an absolutely tender heart for all animals. He was a veteran of the service industry and a phenomenal cook. He had a big heart full of love for the world and the people in it. His friends were part of his family, and he wanted everyone to feel welcomed. His intensity in life burned bright despite yearslong health challenges, and Thomas, his stories and his spirit will be remembered for a long time to come.
Thomas joins his sister, Linda Marie Pirkl in Heaven. He is beloved by his mother, Maryann Mrowca; father, Timothy Pirkl; brother, Daniel Pirkl (May Tabol); sister, Em Puccetti (JJ); nephew, Cam Pirkl; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and longtime friends.
Visitation with family will be held from 2pm-3pm on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at St. Marguerite d'Youville Catholic Church, followed by a Rosary at 3pm and a Funeral Mass at 3:30pm. St. Marguerite d'Youville is located at 85 Gloster Rd NW, Lawrenceville, GA 30044. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Arthritis Foundation (https://www.arthritis.org).
