Thomas Julius Sorrell, 60, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at his home.
Born January 4, 1964, in Prince Georges County Maryland, he was the son of Chirstopher E. Sorrell, Jr. and the late Evelyn G. (Slye) Sorrell.
Thomas previously attended the Boonsboro Family Worship Center.
He enjoyed crafting, collecting horses, spending time with his grandchildren, and loved to travel and sing gospel with his family.
In addition to his father, Thomas is survived by his 4 children, Christopher Sorrell (Amanda) of Willow Springs, NC, Chantelle Sorrell of Hagerstown, MD, Carlton Sorrell (Taylar) of Hagerstown, MD, and Cheria Brittingham of Berkley Springs, WV; stepchildren, Alex Bowers of Williamsport, MD, Lewis Anderson of Berkley Springs, WV, and April Graven (David) of Hancock, MD; siblings, Tammy Lawrence (Tom) of Greencastle, PA, Timothy Sorrell (Angie) of Leitersburg, MD, James Sorrell (Sheila) of IL, and Rachel Sorrell of Hagerstown, MD; former wife and mother of his step-children, Christina Bowers of Montoursville, PA, grandchildren, Jaymee, Declan, Landen, Karter, Parker, Josiah, Aviana, Zephaniah, Jacob, Olivia, Andrea, Emma, Madi, Max, Lewis, Jr., Lexi, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, Thomas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Granville J. and Mildred G. Slye, and Anne and Christopher E. Sorrell, Sr.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 5:00 pm, at New Covenant Fellowship, 18310 Breathedsville Rd, Boonsboro, MD 21713, officiated by Pastor Robert Robertson and Pastor Todd Lady. Family will welcome friends for visitation 2 hours prior to service.
Arrangements were made with J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD.
