Thomas A. Wright Sr.

Thomas A. Wright Sr. (Bart),72 years old, passed unexpectedly at Maine Medical Center on 08/14/24 due to complications of cancer.
Tom was nicknamed Bart by his grandchildren many years ago because of his wiffle hair cut like Bart Simpson. Bart was very proud of his roots, being born and raised in Brockton, Massachusetts. Bart met and fell in love with his wife Patricia who he had met and began dating in the seventh grade and stayed together for 54 years. Bart moved to Old Orchard Beach with his wife in 1986, where they worked together managing a local hotel in town for 17 years. Bart loved going to Portland for hockey games or other events at the Civic Center with his grand or great grandchildren. He loved the city and staying there as well, at the Holiday Inn. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren going places or just hanging together at home. One of his favorite things was food. Either making it himself or going to his favorite restaurants to eat. One of his favorite places was Lucky Loggers in Saco. He loved their food and loved the owners and staff like family, and they felt the same way about him. One of his favorite meals to make for family and friends was sauce and meatballs which everyone loved. He could have been a great chef at a fancy restaurant. He was a man that knew how to have a good time and enjoyed a little smoke while doing it.
Bart will be greatly missed and is survived by his wife Patricia Connors Wright, his brother Peter Wright Sr. and wife Karen Wright, nephews Peter Wright Jr. and Christopher Wright, his daughter Julie Murray, his Son-in-Law Tony Murray, and daughter-in-law Jessica Wright. He is also survived his five grandchildren, James Bousquet Jr., Joseph Murray, Paige Murray, Benjamin Wright and Stella Wright and two great grandchildren, Aubree Breton and Addison Rossi. He is pre-deceased by his son Thomas "TJ" Wright Jr.
The family will be holding a private celebration of the life for Bart.
