Tiffany Baker

Tiffany Leigh Baker, 39, of Davey Drive, Peru, passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, laughter, and love that will never be forgotten.
Tiffany was a force of nature, one of the funniest, wittiest people you could ever meet. She had a sharp sense of humor, an unmatched ability to make others laugh, and a heart even bigger than her personality. A natural caretaker to all, Tiffany was a dedicated and compassionate leader in her role as Director of Nursing at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility, caring deeply for her team and the patients she served. Her leadership reflected her lifelong commitment to helping others, particularly those who needed it most. Whether working in the correctional system or through her tireless efforts at the Advocacy and Resource Center, Tiffany made it her mission to stand up for underserved and marginalized communities.
She was an incredible cook who poured love into every meal, and she found joy and peace in music, concerts, kayaking, cooking for her friends and family, and taking adventures. Tiffany especially cherished celebrating all things Halloween with her life partner, Desiree.
Tiffany lit up when surrounded by her family and friends, and her love for her dog, Roxie, was only matched by her fierce devotion to her daughter, Aliza. Aliza was Tiffany's entire world, her greatest joy, her mirror image, and her proudest accomplishment.
Tiffany never asked for anything in return. She cared for others deeply and instinctively, always putting their needs before her own. Her kindness and generosity left an imprint on everyone lucky enough to know her.
Tiffany is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather, and her father, Edward. She is survived by her daughter, Aliza, and Aliza's partner, Addi; her mother, Connie; her brother, Peter; her partner, Desiree; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and countless friends and chosen family who adored her.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A celebration of her life will follow at 1:00 p.m. at AuSable Point.

Tiffany was truly one of a kind. Her light, her laughter, and her unwavering loyalty will be missed beyond measure but never forgotten.
