Timothy J. "Tim" Colosky

Colosky, Timothy "Tim" – of Birch Run, age 54, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Hurley Medical Center. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. In celebration of Timothy's life and his enduring love for all things automotive, a special gathering will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 3 PM at Birch Run Speedway. Family and friends are invited to honor Tim by bringing their cars and sharing stories that light up the heart as brightly as Tim did throughout his life.

Tim was born on October 27, 1970, in Detroit, MI, and his journey through life brought him immense joy, love, and laughter. A proud graduate of Birch Run High School, Tim was a member of the class of 1989. He went on to earn his Masters and enjoyed a fulfilling career as a mechanical engineer with General Motors. Here, he not only excelled professionally but also built lifelong friendships with his colleagues, forging a tight-knit community known for its camaraderie and shared passion for engineering. Beyond his career, Tim's passions brought him joy. He was an avid fitness enthusiast and a dedicated member of his local CrossFit community. His love for the outdoors and adventure led him to spend countless days on the golf course, camping and bowling lanes, where his warm smile and spirited laughter filled the air. Tim cherished his classic car, pouring his heart into every detail, and he loved traveling to explore new places and make lasting memories with those he cared about.

Above all, Tim was known for his kind and giving nature. As a father, he took immense pride in raising his son, Stefan, always placing his family above all else, and the treasured moments they created together. To know Tim was to be treated like family. Strangers became friends, and friends became family, all drawn in by his heart of gold and genuine spirit.

Surviving are: Son, Stefan Colosky; Good friend, Brenda Colosky; Parents: Marge Colosky, Jerry (Jeannie) Reynolds and Glenda (Lee) Wood; Siblings: Mary (Lori) Schwartz, Steve (Kelly) Colosky, Nikki (Lee) Widener, Jerry (Jennifer) Reynolds, Zach Woods and Kelly (Mark) Rose; Many nieces and nephews and many good friends and family. He is preceded in passing by his father, Jay Colosky; Niece, Jessika Shifter; Nephews: Joel Shifter and Archer Colosky.
