Timothy L. Luttrell, 62, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away peacefully at his home early Tuesday morning, November 22, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born in Rensselaer on August 18, 1960, the son of Ray and Peggy (Cain) Luttrell. Tim attended Rensselaer Central High School and was a lifelong area resident.
On November 28, 1981, in Rensselaer, he married the love of his life, Belinda Kay Malott. Together they raised two children, Jimmy and Julie. Tim was a lifelong farmer and he loved to farm. He also worked as a plumber at St. Joseph's College for about 10 years. He attended the Apostolic Faith Assembly in Mt. Ayr. Tim was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed golfing, singing and playing his guitar. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, and especially his precious grandkids.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Belinda Luttrell of Rensselaer; two children, Jimmy (Maria) Luttrell of Rensselaer and Julie Luttrell of Fair Oaks; two brothers, Jeff (Janey) Luttrell of Hobart and Michael (Kelly) Luttrell of Kentucky; one sister, Melanie (John) Igoe of North Carolina; one aunt, Regina (Pete) Trout of Rensselaer; one uncle, Ed (Bonnie) Cain of Francesville; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Peggy Luttrell; brother Little Ray Luttrell; and his grandpa, Everett Luttrell.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral at 1 p.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Rev. James Vest officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at DeMotte Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tim's wife, Belinda, to help with final expenses.
