Timothy E. Murray

ASHBY -Timothy E. Murray, 42, of Ashby, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Griswold, CT. In his final moments, Timmy displayed the kind of bravery that defined his life. As he was driving, he came upon a man who had broken down and was standing in the road. In a split second, Timmy made a decision to save this man's life by swerving his truck to avoid him. This act of heroism caused his truck to roll several times before going down an embankment, and ultimately, it cost Timmy his life.
Tim was born on March 7, 1982 in Lowell, a son of Walter E. Murray, Jr. and the late Carole D. (Bennett) Murray and grew up in Westford, graduating from Westford Academy.
Tim was employed as a telecom lineman for the Buckley Cable Construction Company. Tim was a loving and dedicated father to his four beloved children working tirelessly to provide for them.
Tim leaves his four children, his father, Walter E. Murray of Ashby: his siblings, Robert Murray of Medellin, Colombia, Scott Johnson of Ashby, Laurie Balboni of Pepperell, Deborah Drouin of Nashua, NH, Walter E. Murray, Jr. of Townsend, Carol Ann Murray of Manchester, NH nephews and nieces.
A graveside service will be held on Friday August 16 at 11AM in the Glenwood Cemetery in Ashby.
